Just checking Jon, Please Reconsider! I love this Forum.

Jon, please don't let a few bad apples ruin it for everyone. Being here is a privilege not a right. I agree with charging a fee for membership. You represent the first and only forum in California. You represent all of us. Thank you for all the years of hard work and dedication you invested for us. Please reconsider bringing back the forum.

I'd happily subscribe to continue to hang out with the best of the best!

Thank you for founding and running the F4F forum for such a long time.
For me the last 4 years on the forum have been great. Expanded my fig knowledge and met many other fig enthusiasts and just had a good time.
Sorry to hear of your decision and I do understand, but I hope you reconsider.
It would be sad for a minority of rude members to spoil it for so many others that have been very nice.

I feel your pain and frustration; I have been there. It is hard to take accusations, insults and other low blows when one is putting in lots of unpaid time and money to keep an organization/community going. Most times the kudos, expressions of support, pats on the back come only after the proverbial camel's back has been broken... Like others I failed to provide some moral support!
The forum you created and provided for was a huge community and a tremendous reference library from which I hugely benefitted during my one year of membership. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I hope that you find it possible to re-open the forum. If not warmest wishes to you for present and future endeavours.

Thanks for the forum, I am somewhat of a newbie here, but it has helped me to learn about a lot of varieties that might work for my area, and researching and learning about figs has given me a great deal of joy.

Will the phone app continue working? When does the closure take effect

Who knows, I don’t think Jon knew it was working.
I wish he would have just asked for a few volunteers to admin the forum. Shutting it down so abruptly didn’t give some a chance to exchange info.

Please reopen. Every Google search goes to this forum.

I'd also like to chime in and say thanks, and hope the forum continues is some form or fashion or that someone else can step in and work it. I've learned so much over the last couple of years and will miss it if it goes away!
