1st Ripe Vincenzo

Got to taste my first Vincenzo fig it tasted very good, I was not counting on this one since we have been getting allot of rain and cool weather but fig did not split in rain and was supprisingly sweet.

Fig was picked last night Oct. 1st

Nice pics Nelson,

Now I know what they look like. LOL
I have a couple and gave away a few to other members. Hope they are just as excited.

Rafed lots of potential here, its only 1 year old its only going to get better with age.

I got good Breba from Vincenzo looking just like yours but a bit bigger (being breba). My plant is almost 3 years old but the main crop is still green in Ottawa climate cooler than Toronto (& the spring start being one or two weeks later!).

Akram , I received a sucker from Paul earlier this year the plant grew 7ft this summer and had allot of figs on it I picked most of them off and only left 7 or 8 there is another two figs on the plant that look like they will ripen anyday now I wish I would of picked a few more off. Oh well live and learn.

Your Zone behaves like 6A though you conservatively you indicate Z5B/6A !
It seems like a fig heaven for me, and surely for Jerry in Calgary. Enjoy. It will not be too long when Jasmin will be picking the ripe figs when you are away (....and then you may be blaming the 'da--' squirrels).

Main crop fig is smaller. A little extra sun & the fig will be dark color. Its a productive variant. My tree has over a hundred figs.
