$2 cuttings, 19 varieties

My outdoor in-ground fig orchard is going to be going dormant soon (first frost is usually in mid-October), so I'm going to start lining up new homes for the cuttings now.  I've got 19 varieties that went in-ground last year and have produced a lot of wood this year, and I'm selling them all for $2 per cutting.

Taking orders via pm or email sounds like a logistical nightmare, so I set up a basic site at http://www.FigCuttings.com to streamline the ordering process.  Rather than pm'ing or emailing your order to me, simply scroll through the varieties there and click the 'add to cart' buttons to order whatever you want.

I've tallied how much wood can be pruned from each tree, and have listed a safe estimate of how many cuttings will be available.  When those safe estimates are reached, I'll remove the 'add to cart' buttons for those varieties so that I won't oversell my available inventory.

I can't ship internationally or to Hawaii, I apologize, but I can ship to California.

Happy figging :)

LATEST UPDATE -- All the packages are in the mail for all orders up through last night (11/13/2015).  I've still got a lot of extra cuttings, so feel free to order more.  I'll keep the listings updated on availability, and will ship new orders as they come in, probably within 24 hours of being placed.

would like to know which figs are the biggest ? I'm fairly new to fig growing.

That's a good idea and setup James.  Good price too!

I can vouch for the quality of James' cuttings...they are positively gorgeous!!!!

The biggest I've ripened so far is the Black Greek.  I had main crop figs that were 110 grams off of the Black Greek growing in my aquaponics system, and 70 grams off the one growing in a 5gal pot.

Conadria is the biggest light colored fig I've ripened, I think the main crop was around 70g.

Black Jack is supposed to be enormous, but I haven't fruited it yet.  If you want to see some impressive pics, there's a poster named KCMarie who has a great thread showing off her huge Black Jacks: http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/my-black-jacks-7088110?&trail=50

Thanks GreenFin ! just ordered a few lol.

Nice James! Sounds like your fig orchard is doing well. I'll be waiting for some of those varieties in the 5 gallon pots to become available :)

I like the way you did this, I got my order in, thanks!

You made it too easy to buy alot. Lol thank you

I haven't seen your order come through yet, are you sure you completed it?

Why no shipping to CA?

Bummer no shipping to California.  Such is life.

James,

I am Mandala Creek Farm in Texas, I checked email, it shows payment sent through PayPal.

Thanks!

Thank-you James!! Great offer!!

California has very strict import restrictions and puts a lot of money and effort into enforcing them, so it's not worth the hassle/risk/expense to me.

I know that can be frustrating to people who live in California, but on the bright side there are a lot of good sources for fig cuttings inside of your state.  Jon's Encanto Farms and Harvey's Figaholics are both located there, and there are a lot of f4f members there who like to trade.

Fair enough.

no overseas shipping :(

Just got my order in, so excited for these to come :) Please keep us posted on the cuttings from your potted trees as well as they get closer to dormancy.. Saw quite a few that I'm very interested in.. Love the way you set the site up as well.. It made viewing & purchasing so easy.

Thanks a whole bunch GreenFin!!! This newbie really appreciates you for making so many great varities available at such a great price :)

James, Thanks so much for these! Maybe this time I will root Vista and it won't rot.... : )

Cant wait for the five gallon bucket cuttings !!!!

I ordered some from you. Thanks!

Just sent an order! Thank you so much!

Hey, I ordered a few but wanted to ask if its possible to order more in maybe a week, as long as they're still available, without paying shipping twice? Just wanted to ask so I'd know before trying and messing something up. Thanks

It's no trouble, I'll refund one of the shipping charges and just ship both orders together :)

It's relatively expensive building my fig collection. Thanks for offering cuttings at such a reasonable price!
