Just picked my first fig from this tree I purchased from Joe Morele in spring of 2014.  Maybe this fig should have been picked yesterday before the drenching rains we had last night.  But it didn't disappoint, as it was very, very sweet with honey flavor.  The biggest fig I have had a chance to pick from my tree's yet.  My son thought it was the sweetest fig he has ever tried.  I would have to agree.

Yes. I have Votata. It is one of the best overlooked best tasting figs out there! You'd have to hold on to the fence when you eat it! It's that good! It's not hardy so winterize well yearly.

If anyone has any Votata cuttings available I would love to trade or buy some cuttings.. PM me if anyone is interested :)

Oh my gosh yes, I so agree that this is wonderful fig, especially in that it is the favorite of a young fig lover!  And I so agree with Mario that I too am interested in the favorite figs of fig lovers.  I have my grandmother's favorite squash, my father's favorite poppy, etc. they are the treasures for sure.
