2nd annual fig festival in Staten Island NY

Bob, you got mail...

Hi George:
Could you post a couple of photos of the leaves from your Miller's EBT fig?
The English Brown Turkey that I rooted from cuttings given to me by Hanc produced it's first figs this year and although they look similar to yours', they appear slightly different, maybe due to maturity of the tree.
George, your pics of the leaves may confirm if your Miller's EBT is indeed the same cultivar as the Hanc's EBT that I have.
Much thanks,
Leon

My BC101 is still a new rooting. Here is a pic of the immature leaves.

I brought the fruit with we home from the fig festival just to take a pic.
Remember that lately, the NE was drenched with rain, rain, ...

There is a member on the other forum known as geoffs, I am not sure if he is on this forum, but he posted a picture looking for an I.D. that looked a lot like the fig in question

Hi George:
Thank you for posting the young plant.
Hard to say at this point if they are similar, although I have photos of my tree when it first rooted and there were leaves like those in your pics.
Will have to see how Hanc's EBT does next year.
Leon

Pic of BC#99 (Zana).

I actually ate a ripe one at the fig festival - tasted rather neutral - after the rain - and
me being fig-spoiled after coming back from a fig-heaven called the Mediterranean Sea.

Looks like a BT?

Jon, where is your (2006) Zana?

A rather large fig and it also tasted well above average...

Re my above post (Black Portuguese fig):

I would like to acquire this fig.
Anybody that has this fig pl. contact me (private email) for some trading.

Thinking hard, this fig reminds me of one tree I visited recently in the Med Sea.
See pic here & thread (One Heck of a Beautiful Fig):

Sorry to say that the Zana fig; thanks (not!) to our recent heavy down-pour rains;

it (like most other figs) does split...

Pics of the 'Potsdam' fig.

A huge fig and one  (deformed) small fig. Yes, plant has FMV.
I had later another similar huge fig that also split (mucho soup-rain here recently).

This fig reminds me of (Monrovia)Black Jack, Guilbeau, and Italian Everbearing....
