Navid, thanks for all those images! Today we went back to the property in Fallbrook, CA on which we lost the bid, and since the gate was open (and nobody around), and I had scissors, I took 3 decent cuttings of a tree that is dying! Today, thanks to Ray Givan's PDF on this site, I identified it as Brunswick! Leaf shape is classic!
All the cuttings have been stripped of leaves, and are in slightly damp spangum moss with a paper towel to absorb moisture in a zip lock wrapped in a dark towel, and I'll change the paper towel every three days so they don't get too wet.
I've heard good things about Brunswick grown in long summer conditions, and that it shall have!!
