A few pictures of four figs from today, October 5th.  The nights are getting colder here (was 36F last night, with similar temperature expected tonight).  But the rest of the week is expected to be a little warmer... I sure hope so.  There are lots of figs that are in the middle of that final stage of ripening... maybe 150 of them that have a chance if it really does warm up for one last hurrah of warmth.

There are still some varieties ripening on certain areas if weather helps.
Violeta, Couro-Duro, Bebera Branca and Côtio-Verdeal may go through the month if rains keep at large.
Last Smyrnas gone now.. they last until mid September.

Winter Caprifigs growing and soon getting receptive  to take the summer/fall generations of wasps loaded with eggs to fill their galls - these eggs will hatch next year in March or April depending on climate.

Traditionally, by now, farmers would be processing and storing their dry figs of the season and prepare them for consumption through the coming months.. a mandatory complement of their diets.

You have probably already addressed this elsewhere, but are these in containers or inground? I ask because most of my containerized figs are going dormant at this point and I am in Zone 7.
