I can't wait to see all your grafted trees fruiting, it is rather exciting.

Grasa, you are a mad fig surgeon..

Wow! Hope it performs really well for you.

What did you graft on that root?

a stallion among mules

Scott, only because I like to experiment. It had no roots when I grafted the buds on top of the branches (it was a cutting in rooting process). It had 5 branches. if they all make, it is a tree from onset.  this is my tree, it grows very well, so it is good for rootstock.

Looks good. You always have interesting and informative posts.

so you root and graft at the same time? You're an animal(I mean that in reverance)

that is what happened Lukie. I wanted to see if works!  part is trying to root and part is trying to heal the graft... shall report the results. My unkilled cuts resulted in few loses, so I have to keep on practicing until weather is warm for me to do many grafts on my big tree out there.

Very inspiring Grasa!

This is so cool Grasa. I can't wait to see what happens. :)

Grasa,

Very impressive results and pictures indeed. I'm sure you will keep us all posted. thanks for sharing!

Great work Grasa...when that 5 way tree is fully grown it is going to be one very unique fig tree.  And thanks for sharing those special pictures.

Looks like your having fun , keep us posted and thanks.

Grasa will be a gazillionaire one day in both figs and $ with the grafting lessons she gives!  You could write an E-book, Grasa!

Like everyone else, love to see the progress of your rooting and grafting adventures!

Maybe you should change Grasa to Graftah!!

Suzi :-))
