No, Mike, I have yet to read Doc Savage, although I may have to start. And I have always found fancy bushes to be worth the man hours. :)

John, I just wondered because you said "Fortress of Solitude"  (that's one of the book titles, and also a place that shows up in many of the stories).  Doc Savage was a pulp superhero from the 20's and 30's.  Some of it later co-opted for Superman.

Mike, I appreciate the information. I had no idea the reference originated with Doc Savage. Was it DC Comics or Siegel and Shuster that appropriated that material? At any rate, I could use a designated cave.
