$7 fig trees for spring/summer delivery, around 150+ varieties

Wow - everything is looking great!

Nice set up. Is there an aquaponics system going on there?

Great job James! Your going to make lots of people happy!

As for cuttings, does the reclaimed original lignified cutting (now a baby tree trunk) root well?

James: You never cease to Amaze me! Looks like you have thought of everything and your planning and hard work will pay off. Thanks so much for the update!

Thanks for the update. So let me get this straight, the people that ordered back in 2015 were supposed to get our trees in fall of 2016, but due to some delays that got pushed back. And now since I'm one of the ones that live in a hot climate, I won't possibly get my trees until this coming fall again?

Thank you for the update.I know it is hard work.

james, thanks for the update. Amazing effort that not many of us can come close to pulling off.

Are a few "slow growers"  ahead of schedule? If so, do you plan to deliver them earlier based on who ordered first? Or are all the "slow growers" planned for delivery at the same time,  in summer to late summer?

James: What can you tell us in Cal where you'll have to ship bareroot?
Thanks for the update, it all looks great...

cuttings:

James' schedule is like this.

(i) Staring airlayering: January 24th?
(ii) Harvesting plants: until the end of March
(iii) preparation of shipment: until April 10th
(iv) arrival(it takes 10 days): late April (it is too late for me)

From your blog (Winter 2016 Fig Cuttings for Sale), I expected,
(i) dormant cuttings,
(ii) shipping around February 1st, 2017.

On the other hand, in reality,
(i) awakened cuttings,
(ii) the reclaimed original lignified cutting (stored energy is low, hormone balance between cytokinin and auxin is unknown),
(iii) shipping around April 1st

I have doubt about James,
(i) What James wrote on his blog (Winter 2016 Fig Cuttings for Sale) are different from realities. He is still taking orders.
(ii) I do not understand what James is doing now.
(iii) James does not reply to email, though my money was taken immediately.

conclusion:
Is the cancellation possible depending on the situation?

Edited: misspelling

Hey Everyone,

Perhaps someone who lives close enough to James could go tour his operation and report back to the forum. I haven't ordered from James but I though I would throw that out there as a means of quelling some of the frustration. I don't think it would be unreasonable for him to make accomodations to such a request.

Dom

Hi waynes,

Thank you for your comment. I am asking James whether James will sell awakened "residue of airlayerings"?

Hi waynea,

I am sorry for misspelling your name. I enjoyed reading your posts. But it is really unfortunate that it ended up like this.

James's Youtube channel

I'm confused. Someone correct me. Is he saying that cuttings that were estimated to ship 2/1 were ready early so instead of shipping early he rooted them himself for future trees and is now planning to send out cuttings of airlayer leftovers sometime in march or April? Also, aren't cuttings supposed to come off dormant trees? How are these cuttings going to be dormant if they are coming from below an Airlayer? I'm not trying to criticize just genuinely do not understand.

Got the 2nd tunnel lit up--

Looking very good!!!

I asked James the following two questions, but James does not answer.

(i) Does James sell an awakened "residue of airlayering" as a cutting?
(ii) Is the cancellation possible depending on the situation?

Before fig trees in James' hoophouse break dormancy, I need James' answers. This is because James can harvest dormant cuttings now. So I would like to add the following two questions.

I ordered cuttings at "Winter 2016 Fig Cuttings for Sale". I finished payment, meaning that a contract has been concluded between the two. But James suddenly changed the contract (#805) without my permission. Is such an act admitted by U.S. law?

James is still taking orders at "Winter 2016 Fig Cuttings for Sale", even though he can not fulfill the contract. Is James a fraud?

Hello waynea,

Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I wanted to grasp the present situation.

> how can we help you with your concerns? What would you like us to do for you? After all, your post is directed to us. . .

In the following page, it is written that 'Contact Info -- Please submit comments, questions, and order inquiries via email to GreenFinGardens'.
http://www.figcuttings.com/p/about.html
By mail, I have tried to confirm that the shipment of cuttings are carried out on schedule. But James have not answered. Because I do not know James' address and telephone number, I wanted to confirm the shipment on this thread. I am sorry for use this thread for a personal purpose.

On the contrary, James continues posting his progress for profit purposes on this thread without restrictions. But he has not performed his duties. Is this allowed? Judging from a third party, f4f-forum would be regarded as supporting James' doubtful activities. I trusted James because he is a member of f4f and he has many supporters. But I was betrayed.

> refund

Regarding a refund, there is no description of refund on the page "Winter 2016 Fig Cuttings for Sale". So I asked James on this thread. I am sorry for use this thread for a personal purpose again. I need James' direct answer.

Best regards.

Is James a fraud?

Fraud requires deliberate intent in the US.  Lots of signs are there but it hasn't been proven undeniably that James is deliberately deceiving people at this time.  It may just be a matter of unrealistic expectations and poor planning.  It will be a year or two before a definitive conclusion can be made for all to see if trees start shipping this summer and if they turn out to be true to type the following summers.

(i)  It does sound like at least some of the cuttings will be taken from actively growing trees.
(ii)  James is offering refunds and some have reported receiving their refunds with only one negative report of not receiving the shipping portion of their refund.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Why people insist on airing their dirty laundry in public is beyond me?

Hello cponzi,

Thank you for your advice. After contacting James, I will decide.

best wishes

Hello macmike,

Thank you for your suggestions and the interpretation of the law.

In the following page, it is written that 'The cuttings from our 2016 growing season will be clipped and shipped in late winter, probably around February 1st, 2017'.
