$7 fig trees for spring/summer delivery, around 150+ varieties

My inbox is full of notifications from this thread lol. People have so much time investigating. Unsubscribed. Good luck to James and his customers.

No, I did not get a refund on shipping. Having read here that others got a full refund now, I'm sure it slipped through the cracks. I will PM you here with the details. I sent emails, but I'm guessing you have your plate full answering requests for info.

Visceral was right, I made a mistake and refunded the wrong amount.  I just sent the missing $15 to get it square.

I think I'm current on all refund requests, so if anybody has sent a request that I have not yet responded to, please re-send it (and also please put 'refund' in the title to help make it easier for me to find).

I am very thankful for James professionalism through this process. He has begun an endeavor that I'm sure none of us would ever try. I ordered many trees from James, while I waited I was able to obtain them from other sources. When I asked James for a refund, he replied promptly and refunded my order in full. I will do business with him in the future as I'm sure most people on this comment thread will.

@thaifig

you not also classless, but not a man of your word...you did say you not gonna interfere...they probably Promised you Ponte Tresa fig cuttings...how many...

So you see Waynea, some people understand my point.  Some, like you, apparently don't.  Fresh dormant cutting season ends soon.  Some of the most desirable varieties are already sold out.

*****************

Now you are talking- all this b...t about people who is willing to wait for their cuttings and trees, and SOME well known  sellers loosing business big time.
Did you realize that nobody can sell cuttings as fast and for $$$ as it was last year. So SOME desperate to ruin GreenFin business to get THEIR business back.
All this cry-"Do not wait, get refund, buy from other sellers while it is not late.................." WOW..... it is very clear...................

And another point- with all camaraderie , friendship and so on- did you realize that most known, "respectable" and  successful last year in selling cuttings and trees are not trying to help GreenFin .........AT ALL.....

It is time to close this topic and get GreenFin to do his job.

At the end of the day, members here have the choice to ask for refund if they want or wait to get their orders (Spring is coming soon). Also, for members that like to wait it will be wise to get some cuttings and root them just in case. If at the end of the day you end having the same variety from your cuttings and from James, you could sell the extra trees or you could give them to some family or friends that could appreciate that fig tree.
This year I'm trying to see life in a more positive way.
I hope that James succeeds with his project and that put and end to all this discussion here. Wishing you all a nice day!!!

I do not know Thai fig personally but from reading his posts what I understood is that "Thai Fig" is mostly concerned about non US customers who find it difficult reading English as a second Language and trying to figure out whats going on here. Personally I think James should've kept this for US customers only and expanded overseas after few years of successful business. Back in 2012 I tried to order an Improved Meyer lemon from a US nursery to Britain as they ship internationally provided you have all the relevant paperwork in place. Their response however was that they are sold out and out of stock till 2013 fall. So why take international orders when one can't meet the deadline at home?

Also, don't think of the refund requests as a bad thing, it will actually help the buyers asking for refunds and the rest of us who are willing to wait. There will be more available varieties after canceled orders. Looks like a win-win for the buyers seeking refunds and the ones who are willing to wait. I wish the best for both groups. Good luck to everyone, including James.

Wayne, I agree with you 100% and this has nothing but turned into a Ball bashing! For sure, I am in for the long haul! Wish James and everyone Good Luck also..... We will be so glad we waited when those pretty little Fig Trees hits our doorsteps! I've got 32 trees coming!..... :)

If one of our members has a good idea, why would we not want to be supportive of it?  I think that James has a good idea, and I was willing to put money into both the 2016 and 2017 orders.  I am still going to wait.  It looks like much good progress is being made.  I have bought from James before and found him to be honest and trustworthy.  I truly hope that it helps him to get his project off the ground and that he will ultimately be very successful.  If this ultimately gives us a reliable source of many fig varieties, it is a good thing.

@ thaifig

I just figured why you are constantly writing on this topic...you are trying to buy Legitimacy to your business , you want the far east customers who are interested in James products to see you here...we all know this topic is bringing traffic..so you want the far east customers to see you and read your essays, it is a good marketing point for you. for the person who dose not know you, or speak English very well...they will think you make sense and you are a nice person...which most of us know by now that you are not a nice person...

that why your handle is Thaifig , most Fig Merchant who sell on eBay and are known , they do not have their eBay name or website name as their handle, out of respect to Jon..Not you.
but all this did not generate the traffic you want...so you went ahead and wrote an essay in the  third person...to advice people to buy cuttings and not wait...hint , hint, we do know where you want them to buy from...People will say you have the right to be here...so do I , at least I am a paying customer...

what unethical person you are and what low class you become for the mighty Dollar...I feel sorry for your students...if you are still a teacher with this kind of mentality...

sorry I do not read comics...But I do read between the lines...

Hey James did you see my 3 emails about my orders?  I'm not sure if you are reading emails sent to greenfingardens@gmail.com? I didn't get any response.  I will send a PM as well.

I know who you are, so do not hide behind "smart answers"

"We're all stocked up here"

Sure you are,  it is exactly why you opened this war against a competitor, jealousy and greed is your fuel, so you can not stop bothering everybody.

Can you guys start another thread titled "fights between people who disagree over $7 figs?"  I mean, I love that movie but I don't need to see Jack's face repeatedly plastered on the thread.  It's obviously up to you but I think this thread is a useful place to discuss the viability of this project and get updates from James on what's going on.

James though I dont pesonally know him seems like a great guy! I have ordered some trees from him for spring 2017. These are at the best prices anywhere!!! I have to praise and commend him on his work, with all that has been said he continues to work hard alot of people would have gave up. Im rooting cuttings now and they do grow at different rates. Some seem to take right off others I almost give up on then all the sudden grow!! Anyone growing cuttings should know the battle! Its obvious hes a hard worker and passionate about figs! Good things come to those who wait!!? Thank You Very Very much James!!!!

Are the fig trees on your site for sale for March delivery or fall?

Thank you so much.

Of what year?...

sorry, could'nt resist.  I'm an innocent bystander in this whole deal.  Interesting reading nonetheless.

Is this suppose to be Funny?

James may not have seen my post--James, did you receive my emails about my orders?  Should I write to a different email address?

To people who have nothing to do with this thread and yet contaminate it with their participation:
- you realize there is a consequence for every action, right?

Some people on here accuse people who comment here of being fig sellers whose business is being hurt by James.  It is hurting other sellers, especially honest ones who ship out orders when they say they will.  I imagine some who have cancelled orders with James will avoid buying from other internet sellers in the future to avoid getting burned again.   So yes, it is hurting other people who sell figs.

I bought from James and many others over the years, but one thing for sure, I'll never buy anything from anyone whose trying to increase business by stepping down on any competitor in such a manner. I speak for myself. If people avoid other internet sellers for any reason, it's their choice, it has nothing to do with James. Usually sellers are responsible for their own demise, due the kind of service they offer.

Thai Fig,
if you truly mean you care, then you should be a good example and delete all your posts from this thread, there is no need to fill it with non relevant issues. By that I mean issues that shouldn't concern you.
I'm going to let you guys realize one thing: In Fig World, everyone knows everyone either directly or indirectly.
Don't be surprised if, some day, your wishes don't come true due to, unknown to you, reasons.
Some call it CARMA, but is it really? :)

Since you're out now, you can start sharing the love with Thaifigs on his new thread, invite all your friends over there and let he man do his job and update us.
Thank You.

Bass' Favorite
Galicia Negra

If you have a chance to get any of those varieties at a good price from another trusted source, I would urge you to do so.  All of those varieties are worth having more than one of, so if you can get a good deal on any of them, I'd jump on it.

The first quote is from 9/6/16, the second quote is from 1-20-17.
What happened here James?
Why they will not be ready? In one year you haven't produced 150 small BM trees when you told us by winter 2016 you will have 200 to 300 BM trees with your poor propagation technique?
Four months ago James was telling us that BM and the other slow grower varieties will be ready in the winter. Now at the end on January, he´s telling us that those trees will not be ready for spring shipping, that maybe will be ready for late summer???. This symbol ??? Means that he's not sure, most probably late summer will change to fall 2017 and then on fall he will say that temperatures are too cold to ship and people need to wait until spring of 2018. Best case scenario, you will deliver in spring the common varieties which are 1/3 of the orders according to James, and the other 2/3 will get delayed until very late 2017 or Spring 2018. Only a few of your cheerleaders will get some of the slow growing varieties in Spring 2017.
Above all those things James, you have the nerve to start the sale of cuttings, when you know that you need those cuttings to finish your project. You also didn't ship those cuttings... you just took their money... that's sick. How you can sell BM, PT,FP, MB cuttings when you need them to finish your project? Just explain that! Your way of doing business doesn't make any sense. You seem like a person who's using a Visa to pay his Master Card.
James, are you a liar? Just look at those two quotes. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'm glad that Willis didn't allowed you to promote your sale on his site, maybe his not the best person, but in this particular case he did the right thing protecting he's users from a guy like you. I know that all of your cheerleaders will atack me, but I don't care. I think you're a fraud!
