7 lobes???

Found this near my job, never seen a leaf like this.  20140928_100010.jpg  20140928_100002.jpg

I like it.

Nice looking leaves. Many of my seedlings have 5-7 lobes.
Yours is probably a seedling too.

Any figs on it?  I hope you got some cuttings!

No figs on it, some dried figs on the ground but looked kinda small. Looks like a green fig. I had noticed it last year but paid it no attention, around spring time it was pretty much almost cut down to the trunk which is about a foot across. These leafs were from branches off the side of it. The color and size of the leafs is what finally got me curious to stop and look at it. I should've put my hand next to it for comparison but it's over a foot long.

Everywhere I go now I'm just looking out for fig trees, hahaha...

My wife is tired of me pointing out random fig trees. Especially here in Fresno there are so many.

I believe that the two extra short lobes are known as 'thumbs'.
A few figs do show that characteristic leaf shape.

BTW, the leaves show signs of FMV too (discoloration).

Looks like the one listed under the name "Maize" in the varietal page.
