Because I am growing Figs4Fun
if it's not fun, why bother ? =D
Never met a dried fig that competed with a fresh fig - not that dried figs don't have their place.
I bought some dried figs from a 99ct store and it was pretty good. But as Jon said no competition on a juicy fresh fig.
I've bought dried figs imported from Turkey/Syria and/or Greece, every night i eat several with my late night tea, I think I have been gaining some weight ;/And it's not that the are as tasty as fresh ones.
I bought two more packs of dried figs packaged by different companies. The Soft Dried Figs are very good, juicy and not super sweet. They are the best out of all 3.Aaron, I got them in an Armenian store on Allen x Washington. The fresh figs are the best but these are the close second.
IGOR, THOSE LOOK GOOD MAN.THE SECOND ONE IS MORE LIKE THE ONES I BOUGHT FROM GOLDEN PRODUCE IN GLENDALE (THE NEW BRANCH).BUT, HONESTLY, I LOVE THE ONES FROM TRADER JOES, THE BLACK MISSIONS. SO SOFT AND MOIST.
i'm pretty sure good dried figs have their own places, and they come very handy while waiting on fresh figs.but yeah... fresh figs rock. have few more months to go before the season's first main crop will be ready. i'm rather excited to see the tiny figs starting.
That’s like saying Fig Newton’s = Fresh Figs :)
