Anyone Growing These Belleclare Varieties?

There's been a lot of talk about Belleclare varieties here lately. I printed off one of their lists that Jon had posted in this thread  http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/Good-old-Belleclare-last-fig-list-2414152.  I've been "studying" like it was some sort of ancient text :-)) .

There seems to be a lot of great varieties on their old list. Some have come to be quite commonplace  and widely available among hobbyist like ourselves. While others remain obscure and largely unavailable.

I'm most curious about a few of them. Is anyone out there growing the following varieties?:
- Popp's Purple/Italian Purple Red (BC #17a/17b)
- Fico Nera di Duemane (BC #43)
- Large Round White (BC #68)
- Gillette (BC #71) (Just curious about the edible qualities if this one)
- Vasilika Sika (#78)
- Fico Bianco Melenzana (#87)
- Fico Grosso Sicilian (#91) (Noted as "Most popular green fig in all of Sicily")
- Black Zadar (#92)
- Fico Zana (#99)
- Der Grossen (#102)

If anyone has been growing these BC varieties and wouldn't mind sharing your experiences with them, it would be warmly received. Information on taste as well as any photos would be of greatest interest.

If you have some of the more obscure ones from the BC list but are not listed above, those would be welcome too.

I look forward to any additional information on these tantalizing BC varieties. Thanks in advance for your posts.

I have some of them, but most are not of fruiting age, yet.

I have Vasilika Sika which should fruit this coming season.

I have-Black Zadar-Fico Zana-Der Grossen.

Good to see the responses. So far so good.

I listed the ones above because I have an interest in acquiring most of them eventually. But if you have a favorite Belleclare variety that you'd like to add, that would be nice too, especially if you have pictures :-) .

@ Vito. How old are your trees? Any pictures of ripe fruit?

Love this thread . I think there are a some of us that would love to acquire cuttings of some of these numbered and unnumbered trees. The more all around info gathered here the better and very much appreciated. Pictures please!

Bill The Black Zadar and the Grossen are 3 years old the fico Zana was a cutting last year.

Thanks Vito. Do the BZ & Grossen seem to be good growers/producers? Any fruit pics yet?

Bill the Black Zadar is a faster grower then the Grossen.

HJ. Got it. Maybe you could post a few pics sometime. I understand the reasons if you'd rather not. But it would be nice to see more of some of these we've heard about.

Enjoy your trip!

Vito,
Sorry to pull this thread out of the past but did you ever get pictures of your Der Grossen? What do you think of the taste?

Tami I gave that one to my mother I law, it was a large brown fig,
I don't have a pictures of the fig, sorry
Vito
