I also have Bataglia from Paradise nursery and it consistently is one of my best tasting figs. Sweet with a robust  berry flavor. I only wish it was earlier.
Figs like this one get me thinking about starting my green garage project!!!!!

From the photos, it looks as if it has a pretty big, open eye, but without the interior cavity found in the Brown Turkey. Does anyone know whether beetles and ants can still turn the fruit sour if they can't actually get inside the fig?

Fellows, I would like to know what is the white circle in the first picture?  Is it something laid beside the fig to give an indication of size?  If so, what is it?

Here's one I just picked few minutes ago from my small Battaglia tree.


It is a promising variety. However the one I picked tasted a little watery but still good. This is due to the cool weather we are having currently.

I had some unbelievable figs off of my Battaglia Green this year; in spite of all the cold weather recently they are ripening and coming in out of this world!  Unbelievably sweet and unbelievably intense strawberry-like flavor.  I have been letting them hang longer than the figs in the pictures above, the ones with the longest hang time tasted the best.

Looks like it has a large eye.  I wonder how it would do in a humid environment?

I am very surprised,by my 4 years old Bataglia verte.
It produced fruits from second year but it formed them late so they never got ripe in the last 3 years.
But this year the still small size 4 yr plant,formed fruits very early ,at the same time as my Marseilles vs blk,and Gino's fig.
This is a radical change for this cultivar,and I am looking forward to get a dozen fruits before 1st,of September.
It is still small as a 4 yrs old tree,but it is healthy looking with no visible fig mosaic.

New at growing fig trees. The neighbor has a tree nearby that has a battaglia like look and taste.

I wouldn't say it's rare but it's not something found commercially. A worthy addition to anyone's collection.

It has been extremely humid here, per usual. I've got two figs developing on my Battaglia tree. So far, no splits. Maybe a week to go.

i will be waiting report of your battaglia when its ripen especially the taste.i am curious about humid weather where you live.will it do best in your location?
