I put this in ground at beginning of March it was in a 3gal pot about 21/2 ft tall at time it has grown well and is loaded with figs brebas and main crop. Nothing has ripened yet of this variety in ground or the few I have in pots.
It is pretty obvious that the in ground is much more productive but if the critters get to it the yield might balance out. I wanted to post so the few members I've shared with can see what to expect No signs of FMV on this variety I can see. My potted trees gave me a good yield with a very tasty fruit the past 2 seasons and am really looking forward to this one
 

Sal, all I can say is WOW! Nice healthy tree --- mine show no FMV either. Can't wait to get mine in the ground, probably this fall. Thanks again for sharing this one.

boy i got to say that sucker is loaded with figs :).

I took these pics this morning and my wife pointed out to me a little 4 inch sucker no leaves just a little fig ripening on tip and another next to it with green fig . Would you call that a breba or Main crop or an anomaly?

Sure looks like it's going to be a very productive tree! You might get tempted to put more in-ground if you have the room ;-).

It will be interesting to see what it's doing in about five years or so. Possibly larger figs & plenty of them :-).

those figs look good at this time of year thats for sure.

Picked a few this morning the taste is still good considering the trees are almost bear of leaves other than a few small new sprouts of new leaves. the skin was a little tough but edible.
Martin I'm about a month late getting garden going but it seems to be doing fine and should be if we don't get a frost this year. Still have some more planting to do (collards, Swiss chard, broccoli, onions and a few other things I come across. I will post pics in a month or 2 when I get to picking I planted some new things this year and am looking forward to tasting results)

 I just found this guy with a few more It was on ground and I must of missed him this ripe to perfection and taste was great

Sal was the fig sweet, fruity, figgy, what did you taste just curious thats all.

Martin all the above, but with loss of leaves it just seems to take longer to get to that point, the sweetness is there but the flavor is what I taste before the sugar a nice meld of both but the flavor lingerers more than sugar content if that makes sense. Sorry taste buds are Bias as you know LOL 

Makes perfect sense to me on taste description.
Sounds like the taste was not overpowered by sweetness.
Which is what i enjoy.

Its been  a while since i see you post Sal hope things are well.

I had transplanted your Blk Unknown  into a mix and it struggled last season along with another Italian plant in yard and thats when i figured out what was wrong , now in another container and mix.
Main trunk was severed and a new shoot is being trained this season and growing well.

One day down the road hope to taste its wonderful looking figs that you have shown.
Your plant has a wonderful story to it and its my hope you see this thread and talk about it.
