Does this F4F/FF have any Terms of Service (tos) guidelines for posters?I see none(?) and believe that there should be some...
We have grown up close to a 1000 members now!
Here is what the GW/FF tos loooks like:

I have not seen any TOS rules on forum unless there somewhere when a person first registers but i dont recall.
I do recall in past Jon editing some posts . Did something occur that made you think about Tos rules on this forum ?

Each new member receives the following (though probably not the earliest members): Welcome to the Figs 4 Fun Forum. I hope that you will enjoy and profit from this forum. I hope that you will participate by posting your experiences and pictures, so that other forum members and the larger fig community will have greater success with and enjoyment of their figs. This forum and the Figs4Fun website were started solely for the purpose of providing information and educational resources for people who are new to figs, and for fig lovers with decades of passion for figs. All are welcome to learn and contribute. The cost to me of the forum is not great, so there will not by any pop-ups, and annoying ads. At some time in the future, I may look for a few selected, tasteful advertisers with products that I believe are pertinent to people who grow figs, and which I can personally endorse. Serving a sharing community, not advertising is the priority of the forum and website. If you have relevant things to sell or trade, such as fig plants, and wish to post them here, and they are of general interest to the "fig community" that is fine. If a post is not in keeping with the interests of this forum and the fig community, it will be deleted, but I really don't anticipate needing to do so. See http://figs4fun.com/ for thousands of pictures, descriptions, and links, along with a broad range of information. See http://figs4fun.com/ and http://figs4fun.com/basics.html for more information. See http://figs4fun.com/Fig_links.html for hundreds of links about growing figs. If you are interested in plants or cuttings, send me a note at encantofarms@cox.net (US and Canada only) Please enjoy, Jon Verdick

Thanks, Jon for the brief tos. Now everybody has it...I do not recall ever receiving it, probably because I was one of the early members.
Thanks also for the nice work you are doing for F4F.

Jon, I echo gorgi & Johns words of appreciation about this forum. I have learned nearly everything I know about figs right here. I know of no other fig-based forum like it anywhere on the internet - nothing even close IMO. I've also met a bunch of great folks who have showed extensive patience in helping me to learn as well as great generousity in sharing/trading plant material. I also thank you for re-posting the 'tos' info above. I had forgotten about the links page - lots of cool stuff there :-) .

The early members didn't get a welcome letter - this has been a work in progress. Yeah, there were a couple things that needed deleting, and occasionally someone takes their marbles and goes home, only to return at a later time. That's fine. As long as this continues to serve the fig community, and educate members and lurkers, all well and good. I have acquired much wisdom on many fruit subjects from many CRFG members over the years. I didn't have to learn everything the hard way, thankfully. A CRFGer taught me the "bag" method originally. So hopefully this is a way of paying it forward.

Well, when UCDAVIS gives you cuttings they want all your notes on your study of the cuttings they gave you.. I was just wondering if anyone has ever turned any in and what they consisted of or what happens if you don't turn in enough notes???

I'de like to know more details about this subject too, It's very important. May I suggest to open a new stain about this? lets not mix subjects so it's easier to follow and find later. Thanks ;)
