Fig meeting in the Northeast April 25th

We will be meeting in Central New Jersey.
Date and Time: Sunday April 25th, time 10:30-12:30
Place: Bill figs 329 old york rd, Flemington, NJ, 08822

Bill will be doing a presentation on self watering containers for figs.
This is an open invitation to the forum members. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk about figs.
You can to bring fig cuttings or even plants for trading.
Bill has several varieties that he will have available.

If you have any questions or suggestions let me know.

I hope this time works for most people. Bill has to be somewhere early afternoon, so 10:30 was a good time for him.
I hope you can make it.

Have fun everyone, I will not be there!!  Have fun meeting all good people here who will attend. Ciao

Maggie,

We'll send you pictures.

C.J.

I Would like to trade a few of my rooted cuttings with others I have two different unidentified mission figs from main trees at the jersey shore.. One has a green fig (egg harbor) and the other (cape may) is yet to have the fig identified awaiting the main crop this year. I have four Egg Harbor's rooted and four Cape May's rooted in cups that I would be willing to trade. Send me a Pm or email and we can meet at Bills sunday morning and trade.. here are some pictures. I would like to have my trades set up ahead of time so I don't unnecessarily transport a box of cuttings possibly damaging them.

Gorgi are you coming?

Thanks Jenia, would like to see the pics, hopefully everyone will get a nice group photo. Ciao

With figs of course

Less some emergency, I should be there?
I will be bringing (free) 1/2 dozen small/thin (~4") Sal(C) rootings still
requiring some TLC for who does not have it and (really) wants it.
Hoping that the old hat drawing of lots may be required...

Gorgi,

That's a great idea!  A drawing!  Is that what you mean?  Maybe we can each bring a cutting or 2 for a hat draw.

One already sold, I'll bring whatever is left.

There's rain in the forcast for tomorrow, but there's a building where we can stay in that case.
If you have something you can spare, we will have a table to set that material, We will have a drawing later. I will try and remember to bring some empty pots for, along with some fig trees for the drawing and for sale.

Here's the schedule.

11:40-12:00 Questions and answers sharing tips

So far we have roughly about 10 interested people.

I would enjoy it and meeting everyone but it is too long a trip for me.

I'll be there too!!!

I havent been on the fig forums in a long time, George was nice enough to email me about this meet and will do my best to show up tomorrow with a few cuttings, nothing special unfortunately and they are unknowns.......
One will be from my family tree (meaning my Dad planted it when I bought my home) and the other will be what I call Rocco Black, my uncle gave me the saplings a few yrs ago and they actually make sweet med-dark figs. Very similar to my family tree but the leaves look different.

It is raining this morning, We may get a break in the rain shortly. The good thing is we have a place to hide from the rain if we need to.
We will see you there.
