My Beall

Very pretty fig on my Beall tree, almost ripe. They get larger than I thought they would.

what a superb looking fig J.A.
please let us know once you pick it. how is the taste and take a pic of the inside please.
Thanks for sharing.

Looks great J.A., it's grown a lot since I saw it Friday and I agree with Maverick, please let us see the fully ripen pictures, in and out.

The birds got after the fig so I had to pick it. The scale I have only goes to 60 grams. The fig was to heavy for the scale. I am sure it could use another day to ripen. Even needing to ripen a little more, it taste very good, sweet with a mild flavor. I will get better with the photography, I hope.

J.A. the inside is beautiful and full (as opposite to some varieties that have hollowness in them).
I hope it tasted as yummy as it looked.
thanks for updating us.

I just tasted the Beall today while at the ucdavis orchard. It tasted very good.

Bass,

I will be delivering to Camp Pendleton this Friday.
Will be meeting with Jon this weekend ( hopefully Saturday ) and I hope to meet with Sue.

Do you plan on being in Southern Cal?

the birds found my BT tree for the first time this year.  i've been watching them attack the figs.  it's been very interesting, albeit frustrating because they tag a little on many of them rather than sticking with a lot of a couple.

Rafed, Jon did mention he'll be meeting with you this weekend. I just dropped him at the airport he's heading back home. I'm going back home tomorrow, so I won't be there. You're welcome to visit me in Pa next time you're in the area.
