Sorry if I misspelled . Thank you to all the members who have helped me out. My collection is growing thanks to all of y'all.
Once anything I have is large enough I will be sharing!!!

What a nice thread!  I have many to thank too, but not listing it all right now.  I have 60 varieties, some rooted and growing outside, and most rooting or rooted and in the clear plastic  greenhouse cups.  I have a few more promised, and there is always that UC Davis order expected in Spring!  My trees are not dormant yet, and those to whom I've promised cuttings must wait till January/Feb.

Thanks everybody!

Suzi

No worries Suzi I'm sure that anyone waiting for cuttings will be more than happy to be patient. If not they don't deserve them.

the best things in life are the things that take time.

wow i just noticed only on here three weeks and 257  post, guess i am active, or need a hobbie. wait this is my hobbie ;)

I, too, have purchased several varieties from some of our forum members, and those forum members were extremely generous in adding some additional variety cuttings for me, simply offering to do so without any prompting on my part!  I was so surprised and tickled to know I should have cuttings going for about 15 new varieties beyond the 7 varieties I currently have growing, very shortly.  So appreciative of the generosity of our forum members, and I look forward to being able to "pass it forward" to other new (and old) fig affeciandos.  Suzi, where in S. Calif. do you live?  I take it in the desert somewhere?  I'm about 20 mins. north of Jon.  Jon and I are very fortunate to live in a climate perfect for growing figs.

I also would like to thank all members for the warm welcome that i have had from this site and the excellent knowledge that they have shared with me. With every ones help my fig collection has increased by 20 new cutting that i received on trust that i will give cuttings when my trees are ready [full of 2013] you know who you are and i thank you this is amazing to be sent cuttings with No Charge NOT Even SHIPPING COST ON TRUST  it just don't happen well it dose on this site & also being a newbie & an overseas member  thank  you for your trust
You are now in my big black book [trades for next year 2013] i will have to hide this from the wife ???

There are some truly wondeful people here

  • Rob

There are some very generous folks here who experience the joy of sharing their figs with others.  I have benefited from their kindness as well.  You know who you are.

Thanks!

I too, jouned the forum a few weeks ago although I've had a Brown Turkey and a Peite Negrini for a number of year and unknowingly never allowed them to go dormant- no wonder only 4 figs in 6 years!!
Thru the kindness of members of this group ( starting off with dear Vince who gave me cuttings for free with no shipping charge) and a few purchases I now have 70+ cuttings of about 25 varieties rooting in the warm cellar and the knowledge to keep them healthy. Wonderful forum!
Thank you all

Tis the season to be thankful, It's only stuff,

it's the camaraderie and the fellowship that counts.
