A Cutting Dilemma. Which end is up?

You could be right, Tony!  We'll be out of town for 4 days and they won't get any water, but I could put them in the shade over river rocks, so they drain. There is no water in the saucers at the moment.

What I love about the mini-greenhouses is they keep the tops moist, and I test the moisture in the pot with my "soil sleuth."  I love that soil sleuth!

Heading down to our "money pit" house that has sold, tomorrow, and that is where my mini-greenhouse cuttings of Catherine's Nacido and the Mystery Fig, "Wild One," found in a county owned lot are.  I'll post pics if I see progress after the 3 days they've been working on becoming Fig Trees.

I would plant the cuttings so only a little bit sticks out of the perlite and the bottom isn't all the way down in the pot.  also, some organic potting soil sprinkled on top seems to help.  Something about perlite being too 'sterile' by itself.
