I have decided to give plant a few more seasons to see if its taste meet my expectations.

Hey Martin nice pics thanks for posting them. Love the panache breba

Thanks - here is link to when i posted picture of them. They first showed late April and i estimate them now to be 45 days old give or take several days.
I knocked a few off and saved 3 of them .

Oh wow big difference in size, I too have been taking breba's off and leaving only 3 max on younger plants. I am hoping I will sample some panache figs in the near future was lucky enough to obtain a nice plant from our good friend Rafed.

Nice photos, Martin. The Panache is quite a beautiful fig!

Update to post # 1
Left 3 panache breba on plant starting March 3rd
Lower panache breba with dark spot fell June 20th
Other 2 panache breba soon afterwards displayed dark spot that spread
fell today June 27th

Santa Cruz Dark - 3 breba left on same as panache on March 3rd holding tuff still on plant.

Other plants mission and mavra sika i can only go back with dated pictures of those breba on plant June 3rd but they were of size and must of came on sometime in March as well just cant date them.
Each one has a single breba i left on and look fine to date.

All other brebas on some plants like negretta, argentile, grise olivette, madeira i knocked off when they appeared early in season.

In short i dont strive for any breba , once in a while im curious and will leave a few on here and there.
Main crop here for me as always the target .

Do you have any hope for Main on Panache?

Any idea what the black ( dark) spots were?

Photos look great.

Not sure Dominick, thought maybe too much rain hitting potting soil as i leave it out in open and we had and still getting lots of rain but others were in same situation and are ok so far.
As for main crop i thought about it but at first but i wait and let tree do its thing this year .
Next season i try to get some main figs to taste as i pinch its growth and take off any breba that appearearly on.

Here is plant from August 2010
and
Plant picture taken few minutes ago.

I got Panache from Raintree this year. Weather has been lacking in any type of heat (70 to 75 avg.) that in 8 weeks has only put on 6 inches of growth. It was basically a 5 foot branch with roots. Only put out two branches from the main trunk.

Sorry Dominick as we have been sending you our weather most of the season, last week i bet it was no warmer than in the 60s by you correct ?
73 out here now and more rain coming.

Now if Jon could send us his "Paradise" weather but think its been cool by him perhaps as well.

Yep Rain and more rain- Cool weather but at least low 80's for the week.

Strange thing though. It's warm enough for the main crop to form and grow on most.

Well for me personally not strange.  ; ) By growing in pots and doing the fig shuffle early in season then when finally in yard by keeping them on cement patio or on the rock landscaping in full sun coupled with a few other things mine always do well depsite mother nature.
Just glad i was not born in Alaska.
