A Few Figs This Morning

The cold weather took it's toll some have been dropping to ground and these look better than they tasted but still can't complain. I have a few more showing color even thou there are no leaves on to speak of. I'm hopping to pot up in coming weeks and am hoping for bud break soon.

So, what varieties are these?

Sal your one lucky guy, Wish I could buy figs at the store this time of year let alone be picking them from my trees.
Lovely pics thanks for posting them

Nelson the weather as you know is a big factor and the trees are still young the black fig is from July 2008 and the Conadria is from July of 2009.

Jose the black is an unknown from Sicily Mt Etna area I acquired this from an Uncle in NY in 2008 it has been very productive for such a young tree the white Is a Conadria

This morning I also heard one of our local male red cardinal
birds crying his heart out (aka. singing!) for his soul-mate
[Pardon my Italian .. O sole mio...]
(presumed) to start new a family-nest?! Right now, it is
sunny 43*F here; is this an early false spring-alarm?

Sal, how did the figs taste?/

Georgi, yes, Im afraid out trees will get tricked, but now is just snowed 3 inches.

Those sure do look good, Sal. Congrats!Hope they bud out soon for you. We're having a warm week here too Lows 48-60  and highs in the low 70's--nice to see a little inkling of spring anyway.
