A few more pics

Brunswick

this was supposed to be Osborn Prolific but I have doubts

My Black Unknown In ground doing well so far (2 are in pots)

Nice looking plants Sal and nice yard wowsers your veggies are sure growing fast.

Thanks Nelson The Brunswick was hit and miss last year with fruit splitting and souring it was also infested with scale. I did get a few good tasting figs of good size and quality I was really going to trash it but I pruned it and moved it to the front of house thinking it would be closer to the trash pick up. My wife talked me out of it and said give it a chance as it was a gift from my uncle Sal also. It is a nice looking tree if nothing else and I just couldn't kill it so maybe some one is watching over it. I will give it this season to convince me.

The in ground trees are my unscientific test for RKN. I have not noticed any signs in my garden but that is heavily amended with compost which is supposed to be a deterrent
Sal

Hi Sal ,
the black unknown came from your Uncle Sal as well?
Also did you take care of the scale yet.
Your plants look nice and healthy thanks for posting the pictures Sal.
Can't wait to see the fruit on from your plants.

Nice garden, Sal. And I really like the contrast of the red Ti plants with the fig. Very pretty.

Sal those three trunks on the second picture from the top dont tell me those are palm trees I will be so jealous lol I absolutely love palm trees.

Martin yes they both came from Uncle Sal He called the Brunswick a yellow fig probably because of amber pulp and greenish to amber skin
As far as the scale yes gone 1-10 alcohol water with soap and some veg oil also sprayed with Neem for 3-4 wks  on a 5-7 day regimen got them suckers.I don't think he cared for that darn tree either but thought it might do better here. We'll see

Nelson yes palms center front a coconut palm bent trunk I found a coconut by a bank I was fishing had a little sprout so I took and planted 16 yrs later that sucker is 30'- 40' tall. and has some real good coconuts and milk great to cook rice in the milk Pain in the butt to get them down

Thanks John Ti plants are nice but do better in shade as you can see the one in the back

I ordered that tomato fig from Bass but I think he Mislabled

Tomato fig

Sal

THAT is (tho rather crooked) the best "Cucumber/Zucchini" fig (yes the 2 names do exist) that I have ever seen....

I want all 3 of those Sal

Black Unknown

The palm tree's  - i'll be keeping up with the Jone's thats for sure here in these parts.

The tomato fig, darn it when i asked Bass for an update on his dark types he did not include that one.  ; )

Sal thanks for those pics they brought a tear to my eye those palms are just lovely. Wow cucumber's already I always said I was going to buy a house and move to florida when I retire think its going to have to happen earlier.

Holly molly Sal your way ahead of us my dad just started his tomatos and green beans and zuchini's and your already eating them lol

I was reluctant to start a second planting after the freeze we got and it was late in Feb but am glad I did I think the cold helped with the bugs a bit and toms are just setting fruit which is good before the heat hits hard. It is a lot of work but this is the time I enjoy I give most away and donate to local church soup kitchen when there is an abundance

Sal

Sal that just looks lovely.

Sal did you make that pvc chair either way its neat.
What type of veggie is that on chair - dill or Khohlarabi , not a speck of soil on it well maybe a speck !
Nice perfect size for the Zuc , i had a italian friend at work who used to ask me each season for the flowers off them as he made a type of Fritata with em.
Sal very nice garden you have with variety of things growing. I see some room for more fig plants inground Sal.  ; )

Martin pretty sure that last picture is fennel.

Thanks Martin No i did not make the chair. The veg on chair is fennel or anise. It tastes like liquorish same as if you ever had Anisette or Sambuca liquor

Martin the flowers are delicious and I made a fritata with it also with Asparagus and zucchini
As far as figs in ground I will be very picky so will trial first I have room for 3-4 maybe
Sal

As shultz used to say on "Hogans Heroes" " i Know nothing"
