A FEW MORE TREES TO GO

I deceided That I should statrt taking in my fig trees. I finally got to use the pallet jack I bought thiis summer. The outside view shows how many I have to take in yet after I make room for the ones on the pallet. I already have about 15 trees placed along the back wall of my garage on the top of a large metal desk. I hope I can make room for the ones outdoors?

I have faith in Ya Lou!

Your buckets still have handles. Maybe you could just hang them on the wall.

Looks like its time for the fig pyramid.
all the buckets of same size  with trees of single trunk as the bottom layer.
then others fit onto those buckets in the space between the trunks.

My buckets MUST be changed early next season. They lost their flixability and crack easily. I'll get them in somehow like I did for many years now. My wife likes collecting empty boxes and that is one of my small problems.
Thanks
Lou

Their figs, of course they will fit, somehow.

Time for a garage sale, I have been using Craigs list to clear things I now deem less important than my figs.

Lou,

I could have used your pallet jack a couple nights ago. I took all mine in but started with the huge one that's in a 35 or 40 gallon pot. I dragged it all the way into the garage and half way my back gave out.
Don't forget my right leg is still weak from the summer incident.

My father and son helped me out or else I would never have been able to finish everything. But boy was my back in pain.
My son got rewarded by taking him to toys r us. He comes cheap. LOL

But it is a good idea to have these types of equipment around to move these big pots. Wethers it is a pallet jack or two wheeler or what ever.

I have a wagon but still had to pick up the 15gl ones and place them on it.

The weather prediction is for our first frost tonight here in Philly. I have been getting figs from my Sal's Corleone but sadly it is now coming to an end. The Pretos never ripened. I can bring the plant in and see if it will warm up and then put it back out I still have tender plants outside too. All of my cactus, some succulents, citrus and a couple assorted others all have to go in today. Guess I better get moving.

only have my 10 gals out there. i think i can leave them out for a week or more. the temp tonight is calling 33. once i see 32, i'll drag them in. i don't have too many of them to start with :) i might go 20 gal on these in future, but 10 gal gives me plenty already.

I finished squeezing in the last of my potted figs into my garage this evening.
Rafed I know how you feel about pain when you have to lift these things by yourself. I guess time has played hell on my back and my foot problem keeps
me up half the night after waking on it some during the day. I kept the birds happy this year but no squirrels after I trapped and carted 12 of them to new pastures this spring.
Knew I should have had a two car garage when I had the home built.
Good luck to all of you this winter and stay healthy.
Lou
