a few unknown cuttings available

I found a couple of nearby trees and got a few cuttings from them.  I have no idea what kind of figs they may produce. There were no figs on them.  They were not dormant, but the branches had already turned gray.  I pinched off the leaves.

I'm calling them Unknown Rochelle #1 and #2, until I can properly ID them.

The first 2 people that wants some of #1, let me know. The other one (#2), I only had a couple of sticks, so one is rooting now and the other is going to Jules.

Thanks, James.  I should have some unknown cuttings also after the trees go dormant.  I'll post something about it later on.

#2   :)

That is, requester #2 - unless Jules doesn't count, then I'm #1.  :)

Of course, doesn't count isn't the same thing as being unimportant.  Especially if I can be #2 on Jules' list after poster #1 on this thread, James.

Then I can be #2 on both lists for cuttings.  In fact, I'd like to be #2 on *everybody's* list for cuttings.   :)

In fact, since I have a Google Earth NSA-level membership I went back in time and saw which fig you cut more of, then went further back in time and did a spectral analysis of the figs.  It looks like they should taste pretty good.

Bob. Were you able to determine in the analysis if Martin would like them?

Btw you're #1. Jules was already accounted for. Pm me your address.

May I be #2 please?

Bob, I was laughing so hard by the time I finished reading all that, I had to go back and read it again.  I'm just gonna take James' word for it when he says I'm accounted for b/c with all the #1's and #2's AND all your time travel, I'm just glad to still be in the mix somewhere....lmbo.  I will put you down right now as my #2.  =)

Did any of you root them yet?

Unknown Rochelle#2 rooted okay and started putting out a leaves while rooting in the dark. I kept it there until I felt it had good enough roots (I like lots of roots before I pot it.) After potting it, the leaves wilted and fell off. Put it under a 4100k florescent and it put out more pale leaves then they stared darkening. Changed the bulb to 6500k and the leaves have darkened even more. Its looking pretty good now.

My Unknown Rochelle #1 was about 1 inch thick and took 3 weeks before any sign of roots. Now it has some nice thick white roots and is ready to pot.
