I could have let these go another day or 2 But we are going to get rain tonight thru tomorrow moring and then its going to turn cold a a bit with highs in 50s and lows around 42 might get into high 30s here who knows.
Anyhoot my daughter and i enjoyed them , i asked her "Anna hows it taste" her reply exactly " Dad why does it taste like watermelon"
I told her i dont taste that it has a nice balance of sweet and rich taste. Just goes to show you how taste buds can differ i guess. She was eating it out of the skin and i like skin and all most times,
 i picked up the skin and ate it darn right not letting that go to waste no no. The skin was really good just by itself and was like candy.
This is first year for me eating figs from this plant and look forward to it in years to come.
