A fig starts to change color in Kansas City

Finally getting some darkening color here in Kansas City on the Hardy Chicago.

I had pinched off most of the figlets but saved some for sampling!

On the other hand, the Black Jack seems to have picked up some variegated colors on the figs.  Leaves are pure green, but look at the figs.  Any idea why they are variegated?  They did not do that last year.  It's a two year old container plant.  Completely healthy, and I think the figs are beautiful anyways!

Congrats. Hopefully, you'll get to enjoy more of those.

Marie, keep us updated on the outcome of the ripe Black Jack, I am very interested. The striping or variegation could be normal until it ripens or could be growing conditions.

Haha That Black Jack thinks it is a panache... Keep us updated.
congratulations on those figs turning colour!

Will keep you all updated on the Black Jack. I'm curious too! My profile pic is figs from same plant last year, we'll see how she does this year.

Looks like some healthy figs, Marie!
