As you may have read, EPJ3's collection has been wiped out.  Many have received figs from him.  Ed, Please post a list of what you had, throw in what you want and let's see if we can't rebuild your collection.  I was going to make this a PM but I realized I can't do it alone and Ed's pm box was full.

ED, don't make us look up all your posts and gather a list ourselves  :)

I hadn't heard this about ejp's collection.
This is an ideal purpose for this forum, to me, to do what we can to restore in some way what was lost.
Whenever Ed is ready I'm in , to do what I can.

I suggest we collect a list of desired plants, then each of us take responsibility for growing 2 - 3 cuttings or yearlings during the next few months while the property(ies) get cleaned up and he is ready to accept new plants, then in Feb or March take a truck up the coast and pick up donation plants along the way upto the NYC, I assume there are many others in queens and LI that would benefit from rebuilding their collections

This is a wonderful idea Bob!  I'm in also if I have anything he'd be interested in.
I was so sorry to read his rare trees were gone.

I'm all in . I have a good strain of Desert King I can send cuttings of . Ed , When your ready to start propagating figletts let me know .

I just found the post about the rare trees at your father's house.  So sorry to hear about his and your loss.  I'm in too!  I have many duplicate rooted cuttings like Gina, and I hope I have something you need Ed!

I do not have my list with me, but I think I received Genoa as cuttings from Ed, I have an extra that I am planning on digging up when it goes dormant. I will verify this and make sure I have not earmarked for someone else next week.

I hope there were no personal injuries.
Fig plant replacement is very good cause.
If needed I can root and send a "Latarolla (red interior)" plant next summer if that is not late.
When I got cuttings last spring I was told that it was ejp version Latarolla.

I only just read about the losses that Ed suffered regarding the specialized fig collection.  I guess I missed this information somehow.  What thread contained the notices?

Thanks guys you are amazing.  However I didn't lose my collection I just lost about 20 of my best plants.  I appreciate all of the generosity shown by the forum group.  Thanks especially to you Bob. Once I get my father back in his house I will worry about what figs were lost.  Thanks again

Ed I know you had panachee , dark portugeuse and quite a few others cause I bought mine from you, anything you need be sure to let me knowand I'll take some cuttings or do airlayers when I can.
