A Group of Cuttings

Here are some cuttings from a pruning I did for a neighbor. I used paper towels on these and the one's that rooted well were placed into individual cups. Most of cuttings bellow were slow to root. some had small root initials, but some didn't. I think there were about 20 cuttings, some of which had only one-two nodes. There are at least three different varieties in here: a green fig, a black fig, and a purplish brown fig.

Henry, they look nice , thanks for sharing

Henry, Baby fig trees are so darn cute  : )

Great work!  Be careful getting them out!

I like that you put so many in on pot. I was thinking of doing that also. I started a few cutting myself today of a unknown plant. I didn't like putting them in paper and a bag just to let them mold. It is getting up in the upper 80's here in the day, sure seems to make the mold grow fast. I tried what I have done in the past with Orchids with most. Spray the with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Got rid of the mold and didn't seem to affect the cutting. Keep up the good info Henry and have a big smile to all.

I used 3% Hydrogen Peroxide right out of the bottle. I will spray them when ever I find mold.Seams to get rid of it for a few days. I  use a home made mix of sand BB size gravel and perlite. The sand and gravel come from  my property. I put cutting and mix in clear plastic cups and then in a gallon ziplock bag. Open every day and retreat for mold when needed.
