A nice ripe RdB

I brought this in out of the rain and it rewarded me a nice ripe fig.  More on the way.

I thought it smelled like watermelon to me.  The taste is a sweet berry taste but to me has that level I think you get when they add lemon to a recipe because its suppose to intensify the sweetness.  It's almost a tartness after the sweetness is how I would describe it.  Hopefully if I can have six in a row I can figure it out.

Remember i mention the best is yet to come in your video thread here , just wait it gets even better.  ; )

Another good thing about RdB is it is earlier than Negronne.  The one I left outside this winter is way behind.  Even the airlayer I did last year and brought inside is further along but still not near ripening.

Such a great looking fig.  I've got a few years before I can post any of mine.
