Hey FrankWhen you remove the airlayers let us know which method worked best for you.I am a creature of habit and lazy take a 1 inch piece of bark off the branch get a handfull of sphagnum put it on a piece of foil and wrap it around the branch -DoneI have also always cut the top off at about 8" after removing the airlayer.Thats just how my Dad taught me back 40 years ago when we did crotons in Miami it worked then and it works now.But I am sure there is a better way.
