A tasteless fig

Here is an unknown fig that I ate yesterday. I had figs from the parent tree last year and they were great! This is what I got from my little tree. If I didn't know better I'd think it was a bad fig. It was a very ripe breba.
I've learned that I have to give my figs time.

art, no taste or bad taste? last yr, my White Greek put on few fine looking figs, but they didn't have any taste. i'm waiting to see if the figs improve this yr.

Pete, It wasn't a bad taste. It was a watered down taste.
I was disappointed. I remember tasting the breba and main crop on the 4 year old tree. They were both great.

if the mother tree was good, i'm sure it will improve with age.. few of my trees are going into their 4th yr. i'm definitely look forward to tasting the figs this yr... only if the weather will cooperate...

you are lucky to have tasted figs from the mother tree since it gives hope for a good crop.
alot of mine are misterious so i am in a twilight zone here :)
