It is interesting.  When I was in Spain, it seems there are a lot of figs which are named after the cities which they are commonly grown.  This one is from Andalucia.  In searching around, I found this fig also, which looks very tasty:

I reserched too and found this site with a good clare picture of Andalusia wild fig.
In my opinion,you just found ,the original mother of Celeste fig ,the most popular fig in USA,and a fig that also dry on branch ,and resist cold and rain better than most others.
