Beautiful Marius. How old is your tree? Mine has several figs, but very slow to ripen. I'm wishing for continued warm days! Happy it is producing wonderful figs for you.

another beautiful fig from the collection of Marius

Garry,my tree is 3 years old,in a 55 gal pot/barrel.

Wow !!!!  Very Impressive, only 55 gal....LOL    I need to get bigger pots.  I should have this variety next year, Thanks for the review.

Thanks Marius, that is a nice tree! Mine is 2 years old, and in a half wine barrel. I may put it in the ground this fall, since it's a keeper. (and Portuguese;))

I'm still hopeful mine will break dormancy. I'm not sure the fig gods want me to have this variety.

Thanks Marius, would you consider this a must have or a "nice to have",  I have some serious decisions to make of what to keep, to share and not keep, and what to acquire so enhance my collection. Eventually I want to only have 50 varieties.

That looks too good. I like the way you display it cut in situ.

Great fig.  Mine were huge.

Where do you keep all these gigantic pots in the winter, looks like you need a warehouse?  I would need a fork lift to move a 55 gal. pot!  Obviously you are doing something right, all your figs look great.  Do you see any similarity of this variety and Black Mission?

Why Portugal figs of this variety is not black? Your opinion.

I had my first 3 ripe figs off this variety today and they were very good.

I have two fairly large trees in the ground the second year and they have been trying my patience by being slow to ripen.  I now have 5 black fruits on one tree and may pick 2 either tomorrow or Monday.
