I thought I'd share a few photos of my 1st Abebereira breba. I've been watching it for a few days, and touched it to see how soft it might be getting, and of course, it dropped off. The taste was good, moderately sweet and figgy. Not as good as main crop last year, but I'll take it.
I have one breba I'm hoping to try. The main crop showed up not too long ago. They were large figs last year!
Looks delicious! Thanks for sharing.Paul
Nice Gary, how was the main season crop on that last year?I've often wonderedhow this and the Branca stacked up given that Preto came from the same site.
Gary, I am due a Visit to California...when is the ripening time for those fig collection you Mentioned...Mark
Hi Mark, should be mid August through mid October, if last year is an indication.
I just started a few cuttings of this type recently, looking foward to them.
Congratulations!
