What is your best method to adapt figs to direct sunlight. I just wanna know, cause year ago my fig got sunburn and stop growth for some weeks.

Slow progression into full sun.  I take about 6 weeks to move from full shade to full sun, starting with a week in full shade, then very little direct sun, etc.  It might be overkill but I nearly killed several trees before using this method.

Hi Maris,

I put mine outside in full shade their first week outside then move them again half shade, morning sun only and by the third week. I put them in their final growing spot.

Vincent zone 5 cold Canada

Shade cloth works pretty good also.   My potted trees spent a week under 50% shade cloth this spring, and are now out in (mostly) full sun. I say mostly because they get a couple hours under the shade of a neighbors tree in mid afternoon.

Best method is to put them in full sun before they brake bud. Just like if they were in ground. Very easy full proof method. Richie from louisiana

Richie, he is talking about leafed out yung'uns, wake up.

Anyway, Vincent_15 method has worked for me in the past, it is what I use: 1 week full shade (warm weather) and 1 week in partial shade/sun, then out into full sun. Of course, make sure the first full sun is not a 90F sunny day.

Ok, thanks guys for your advice. I needed them cuz in last year as I mentioned, my fig got sunburn. :(
