Had this variant for years and was top killed last winter. Re-sprouted. Its new growthis giving me a nice main crop. Adriano's variant does not abort/drop its figs. A quality variant that has delivered its main crop the last 4 yrs. Ripe fig is dark color.
Glad the tree survived. Looks very healthy.
Thanks for sharing. Looks to be a very productive variety!
Looks like it rebounded nicely. Is that the calabrese long melanzana?
Looks good!
looks great!
Not sure what Melanzana it is. I will post pic's in late Sept/early Oct. The tree is well loaded with main crop. Pretty tasty fig.
That's some serious growth for a tree that was top killed. I had a Lattarula die back to the roots and it's only come back about 2' tall so far with no fruit... which is fine, I'm just glad it came back.
Ripe fig is pyriform dark color, close eye and flesh is red in color. Size is almost similar to Negronne or Florea.
Nice description.I wonder if Adriano also other Melanzanas? The leaves I saw on another one looked more like RDB leaves (not as narrow) and the breba were supposed to be huge.
