Adrianos Website Updated

Wow, that's a good range of E'pean variants.

Oh man everytime I tell my self I need to slow down something new comes up and the addiction takes a turn for the worse lol.  My Wishlist from Adriano was already pretty big but now im going to need to flip the page to add some more variants.

Nelson thanks for letting us know the site was updated.
You remember the movie JAWS where i think it was the captain or one of the crew said " i think we need a bigger boat " maybe you might need something bigger  ; )
I read where he mentioned in a description of ronde de bordeaux was better than violet bordeaux i figure it was to him anyways and hope to find out this season for myself.

Martin you aint kidding trying to get some specific variants now for my Dad since hes just as bad as I am we are going to build something this year in the garage to store about 50 plants. I have a Violette De Bordeaux I got from Adriano last year still very small and am not expecting figs anytime soon but its good to know about the ronde de bordeaux I guess I shall get that too eventually. Martin how big is your Ronde De Bordeaux now ?

Nelson,

Thanks for the heads up. But the music is missing.
I like to listen to the music every time I go to the website. It's relaxing.

Nelson, looks like I would need to convince the wife we need a holiday in Toronto.

 >>> " i think we need a bigger boat "
equals:
we all need a bigger space/land...
[more fig names keep popping up]

Gorgi,

Would a 53' trailer do?

Rafed,
I think that a 53' trailer is bigger than my (1 car) garage (winter storage).
I was thinking more of a 1+ acre overall property ($$$).

IM SO GLAD THE MUSIC IS GONE!

The music would blast in my computer at work ( he he) when I looking to escape to figs!

Gorgi,

I have a nice large yard. I will post pictures of it as soon as I can find them.
The problem is my parents live with us and they get a little fussy when I start digging.
It's a beautiful place to be in during the Summer months. The Heirloom Roses, The veggie garden, Jasmines filling the air. Takes your breath away!

Too much to list.

Sorry Nelson, I didn't mean to Hi-jack your thread.

Rafed,

It's me inviting you to move to San Diego, again, where storage isn't an issue. ;-))  You can bring gorgi with you. You should be able to get his plants and yours in one 40' box.

Jon,
Like I said, One of these days I just might take you up on the offer.
But I have to warn you. I have a nine year old that can shatter glass from her crying.LOL

Yeah right Jon,
I know that you are just teasing/joking (as usual)!
Maybe we should take you up on your offer,
but then, we would expect to be "housed"
in something better than just a tool-shed...

Nelson,
i topped it off at about 42 inches or so as im starting to grow mine in smaller containers but only a few horizontal branches because im always cutting them off the 1st  season for upward growth so i can top it before seasons end, the following year i then let it branch outwards and cut anything that tries to grow from the top.

I was looking at some of the plants today and this one ronde seems to have some damage from the winter but its not dead thats for sure.
I noticed another next to it
a pastillere only about a foot or so tall thats basically a stick as i was cutting off the horizontal growth on it last season was slow growing and it looks really wonderful as it seems to be pretty hardy for a first season plant going thru my winter in garage compared to some of my others.
Im really curious after reading Adriano's statement about Ronde's taste compared to violet de bordeaux and anxious to taste a few figs for an idea but everyone has different opinions and not always same taste buds.
