Adriatic

I should have asked this question before. I got some cutting from Grasa which are doing well. However, I wanted to know if this needs the wasp?

Adriatic figs are of the 'Cachopeiros' family. NO need for wasp, as they self pollinate.
They may have a few brebas, followed by a prolific main crop of very sweet and flavored fruit with a marked deep red pulp

Thank you!

i have seen pix of JH Adriatic, but never seen the pix of UCD Adriatic fig. my UCD Adriatic died due to fast acting lime. just curious as to what it would look like.

I don't think the Adriatic from Grasa is a JH. I believe it was somebodys tree that she had distributed.

Pete, I have pictures of both. UCD Adriatic, is totally excellent! It's very sweet, rich and has a strong berry flavor. I'll post a few pics from my Windblows PC.

dennis, thanks. my UCD Adriatic became a victim of fast acting lime. i only kept one cutting since i have JH Adriatic and number of Calvert. but i understand UCD Adriatic is not as same as either of them.

Is fact acting lime bad for fig trees?

for me, i would never use fast acting lime on my figs ever again. it will be garden lime/dolomite lime only from this point on. only serious mistake i made so far. thought all lime were same.

I have Adriatic, thanks to Dan ,my Adriatic is virus free a delicious fig ,one of my favorite
white fig ,this is really a great fig.Ciao,
Giuseppe
