Adriatic or JH Adriatic 9-22-13

My source of this fig says it is JH Adriatic, the leaves do not match up with the descriptions of JH in the discussions. Which ever it is, it is good. Just right on the sweetness, a little strawberry, skin was just a little chewy but good, and no crunch. About an 8 and looking to get better.

Very nice looking fig. If its not JH Adriatic it appears to be at least in the same family

I love how dark the flesh is.  Makes it look incredibly delicious.

Sounds like it is a keeper either way

Beautiful, I love this fig

Thanks for posting! I am new to the forum. I picked up JH because a friend recommended it. Any tips? Thanks,TJ

TJ, welcome to the forum. It is an excellent fig down south here. I will eventually put this one in ground. Maybe someone in your area
will jump in here. You may wish to start a new thread introducing yourself and where you are located. You can put your hardiness zone
in by going back to the control panel.

Thanks Mike,I think I put it in the correct spot

Only the second of these to ripen this year. It was so good I just had to post a pic and to say the taste really, really good.

Hi Mike:
Exceptional fig and photos! Can you post some photos of the leaves of this fig?

Leon, will do tomorrow.

Mike, thats a good looking fig I can't wait till my tree starts producing

looks really really good

Leon, here are some leaf pics from just this plant. It is certainly different from my "true JH Adriatic" which the source of
this one says it is JH also. As you can see, there is no definitive pattern on this young tree.

Hey Mike, are your trees growing in a greenhouse or outside in the ground?

thanks,

Dennis, no greenhouse. Most of them are in containers one gal to 20 gal on the driveway/walkway. I also have 29 pots, 5-20 gal
that are buried 6-10 ins in ground.
