Advice on the best: plums, asian pear, jujube, hardy kiwi

Well, I have almost all of my spring-ordered trees in the orchard and already my thoughts have shifted to fall planting.  I'm looking for suggestions as to your favorite cultivars of plums (european, asian, or otherwise), asian pears, jujubes, and kiwis for fall planting.  I know taste is subjective, but here are some general guidelines for what I'm looking for:

Plums (European, Asian or otherwise): Flavorful and sweet, no real concern for size or productivity.  I've heard good things about the various gage plums.
Asian Pears: Flavorful and sweet, again no real concern for size.
Jujubes: Flavor, size, and productivity.  I've tried these before and some seem rather small given the large middle seed.  However I could be convinced otherwise if there's an outstanding small cultivar.
Hardy Kiwi: Again, these seem rather small.  I'd like one of the larger cultivars if it retains its flavor.  Thoughts?

Not sure if these are all recommended for fall planting in our area.  The plums and pears probably would be fine but I'm not sure about the jujubes and kiwis.  I know there are a lot of growers out there interested in a wide variety of fruits.  Thanks for your help and advice to a starting grower!

Regarding Jujubes RedLands4 has impressed me. Just like figs the performance of Jujubes may depend on where you live.

In north Texas this variety did well for me last year. Size wise the larger fruit are a little shy of a ping pong ball with a somewhat 'pumpkin' shape. They were sweet for a Jujube and prolific. I liked them quite a bit.

I grafted a 8 inch segment into my existing Sherwood last spring. By fall I had a 6ft branch with a bunch of fruit - more fruit than I could consume.

On the gardenweb forum, there is a fruit &orchard section, w some experts on there.
My only suggestion is to try for the disease resistant plums and pears, I think the Japanese-American hyrbrids for plums. Talk to an expert.
Good luck.

Ok . these are my suggestions based on my personal likes . Taste and hardiness are key facotors when i plant fruit trees.
European Plums : Brooks,Seneca and green gage.
Japanese Plums: Shiro, beauty, Satsuma and Toka.
Asian Pears: Chojuro, Ichiban nashi, Shinseiki and  Hosui

Plums: I cut them down, too much drama

Asian Pears: Hosui, Chojuro
Kiwi: Anna, Ken's Red. We have the largest Hardy Kiwi commercial vineyard in US here in Pennsylvania and they do very well.
Jujube: Li, Sihong, honey jar, Sugarcane.

Plums,Early Italian prune or regular Italian Prune, sweet and tangy and in a crumble they are delicious.

Thanks for all the advice and recommendations! I'll take these into consideration when ordering for the fall. Any other recommendations are welcome!

Bass, is fall planting of jujubes and hardy kiwi okay here in your estimation?

Check this taste report out. It's only what DWN stocks (which is a lot). Hope it helps...

Asian Pear = Shinseiki and Hosui
Plum = Peach plum
