We are in the process of moving a little farther out of town, looking for a little acreage. One of the issues is that there is no city sewer system so either a typical septic tank with drain field or an aerobic septic system seems to be the choices for the moment.
My question: with the aerobic system you must spray the effluent water out of the system, I know people use this for watering grass but can it be used for figs and other edibles?
BTW - one property had a wonderful fig tree that happened to be covered with yellow figs, one of which was ripe enough to eat, with the others being probably 75% ripe, man said tree provided figs all summer and into the fall, "Honey, I'm home" I think it is a Conadria, don't know, I have never actually seen one.
