Always good to share your figs with a buddy.

Yea he's a great friend and deserves a great treat.

Rob,
Here's my best buddy protecting my figs. Dogs are proof that someone loves us.
As you can see by my avatar I'm proud of my dog and the fact he cares about our figs. He is very gentle - he'll catch baby bunnies to show them to me but he won't hurt them or anything else -BUT SQUIRRELS.
Buddy is beautiful. I guess now I'll have to start sharing my figs.

Dog surely love to eat figs. Our "little one" a stratty bull dog enjoys chasing birds, squirrels, cats and any other vermin entering her yard.

I love the way your "little ones" eyes match his coat color. Was that standard equipment or an option?

That is part of the breed standard. Yes, those are her real "standard equipment" eyes.

Needless to say when she looks at you with those eyes you can't help but give her some food off your plate.

Beautiful pups.

Lovely color on the bully.

Jake & Logan

Catchers and killers of rabbits, squirrels, mice, lizards, bugs, and birds.

Also known to chase skunks and dogs.   Which is a big reason why they are now indoor cats.   They have an indoor/outdoor kennel, and they do get supervised walks in the back yard several times a week, but are otherwise permenantly restricted to the house.

Do the dogs share their squirrels? maybe a joint meal of buttermilk squirrel pie and figs? My cats just bring me coral snakes...

Nichole, she has always been different than any other bully we had even seen.

Here's an old photo of Devil Boy aka Blondie. He was allowed outside till the coyotes were seen right out back. We decided we would rather not take any risks so he is now totally inside. He is a bit of a handful. His previous owners turned him into the animal shelter when he was about a year old cuz they couldn't handle him. He is one of our all-time favorites.

Beautiful cat Gina awesome color. And some nice fig starts too. Couple weeks ago, we found a little black and white kitten in our yard and have since adopted him after determining that no one reported him lost. The cat has random black blotches on a white and is what is called a cow cat, very cool looking. So a couple days ago my daughter finds a kitten at my ex's house and is begging me to take it because the ex won't allow animals in the house. I refused initially but now have that little kitten laying on my chest as I type this out. She is a tortoise shell and weighs.96 lbs. Needless to say my house has become quite busy. Vet visits for both of them tomorrow.

I love seeing furry family members. Thank you all for sharing,

My furry kids - Sadie and Violet.
Vi does a pretty good job with squirrels and crows.

Yup.  Great posts.   Beautiful animals.

Our two cats were pound kitties.  Our previous cat was taken by coyotes at 0230 one night.  I will never forget that scream.

So we built the kennel, then found Logan in the kittie jail.   We were going to get just him, but he and Jake were pawing and playing at each other through the wire partition of their two cages, so we had to take them both.   Glad we did.

It takes a while for a pound kitty to develop trust, especially if they are older when you get them.  These guys were a little over a year when we rescued them. And each year we've had them, they seem more accepting of us, and more a part of the family.  We are in our third home since we got those two, and each time, I've built a secure kennel with access to the inside of the house so they can play outside safely.

I let em supervise my outside activities, like when I'm pulling weeds or watering, or messing around with shade cloth, but other than that...unless I can keep a close eye on them...they stay indoors or in the kennel.

Nicole that is a great pic!! Really cool looking dogs!! Still miss my Bull Terrier, he was awesome! Dave, I do have a 3rd cat he is a rescue and was aroudn a year old when we got him and yes not very trusting at first and very skittish. Still kind scary if any sudden noises are heard. 3 cats and I always considered myself a dog person. Had dogs during the first half of my life, but things happen in life. My small yard is loaded with potted plants, figs and others so no dog for me.
