after adding plant-tone..

the cuttings seems to be reponding well.. but there is a problem. the water is not draining well from the soil since i needed them. didn't added too much. maybe 1-2 table spoon per 1gal container. not sure why that would prevent waters from draining.

Pete,
There is nothing in Plant-tone that would cause that to happen, as far as I know.
I have used 1 tablespoon (Plant-tone or Garden-tone) per gallon container since last year and there has never been any issues. If the plant tone is mixed into the top 1-2 inches, you should not even know it's there, other than the healthy looking plants : )

pete, i would have thought so too. but there are few 1 gal that was draining very well, as in after about 20 sec, the water is all drained and held by soil.. now the water is just siting on top of the soil. i'm having to poke holes in the soil to let them drain. at least i don't have to water them as often as i have been.

I am using gaia green 4-4-4, its just a meal but all purpose fertilizer, not sure how close to plant tone it is, but even mixing it into the top 1-2 inches is difficult for me with the roots, I have to add 2 tbl per gallon which isn't much but it takes a bit long to drain but only around 30-60 seconds more, I think it has more to do with the fertilizer soaking up the water before going down for me.

i'm smelling stale water around the 1 gal. i'll have to move them all to the side walk and inspect them. this yr's been a chain of events leading to lot of mistakes.
