An edible seedling - Caramel

Already shown last season this is a prolific fig of exquisite looks and flavors.
A bird has probably planted its seed some 10 or 12 years before  near an old and decaying huge loquat.
Very sweet and flavored,,, The seed test seems to confirm that it could well be a full Caducuous type.

That's a lovely looking fig Francisco.

Hi Nelson

Thanks for commenting on this caramel !!

Last year I had some doubts but now I am sure it's not a Common. If you notice any wasps in the Islands let me know so I may send a couple of sticks to your uncles.
cheers
Francisco

Francisco, Another delicious fig!
Will you be naming it and sharing it with those lucky enough to have the wasp?

You make it look and sound so great but then tell us it's out of reach for us...   Oh the poignancy and despair...

:)

Nice looking fig

Thank you Pino , Bob and Vinny for your kind comments on this wild edible.

Pino,
Yes this fig will most likely be given the name of Caramel... and I shall always share with pleasure

Bob,
Am sorry! well I could say nothing and keep these little beauties just for myself... but then I was not happy with my conscience.

That would really be a crime, Francisco.

Another great looking fig. It seems there is no stopping to what the ideal conditions of Algarve can produce in terms of fig varieties.

Thanks for sharing,
