This fig came from the Castelo de Gilbralfaro courtyard, the highest point in Malaga, Andalucia Spain.Don't ask me how it got into my orchard in Tallahassee. That's not important. What is important, does anyone recognize this as a named fig?

Sorry I have no idea , but I love the huge leaves , great color outside and in. Was it tasty?
Frank that's a great looking fig wish I could help on the I'd but have no idea.
what's in a name... that's a great looking fig.
Due to the dark skin and tight eye I believe what you have there is an elusive "Tami Wants One FMD" haha
I must hold judgment on taste as I found this fig on the ground. I have no idea what knocked it down, but it wasn't fully ripe yet.
Update:
I don't care who you are, that is one BEAUTIFUL fig!
Beautiful Fig, Its very hard to identify maybe Jon can help, Thanks for Sharing.
Tami has key receptor sites for fig pheromones.
Could any one of the wonderful figs from Spain. Regardless of name, it is gorgeous. You'll have to let us know what it tastes like when ripe. Thanks!
Jeez Dale, I was trying not to let anyone knoe (blush)
It should be ready in a day or two.
Can't wait to hear about this one as I'm sure you can't wait to taste a fully ripe one ! Has fabulous color , tight eye and I agree with Tami - on the gotta have one list !
Looks great Frank.
When plant is mature perhaps someone can identify.
Nice air-layer. Are you concerned about roots growing into the handle of the milk jug?
Here are the last two tree ripened figs from the tree. I was struck by the similarity in size, color, texture and taste to Kathleen Black (and that's saying a lot). I believe as a first year producer this variety will be even better in subsequent years.
I am SO jealous but so happy for you at the same time.
