Annual Wish-List of 6 most desirable fig cuttings for 2014-15

Florea
that Celeste/Unknown strain that tastes like a peach sounds like fun.
I think I have most of my wish list lined up, it'll depend on how airlayers took.
I'm looking for good taste, cold hardy, able to tolerate hot dry summers.

All I'll have ready to take cuttings off of for trade is an unknown, very probably Celeste.

LdA/Melanzana Merdoscola/Niagara Black/Nordland/Slocan
CdDG
I-258
LSU Scott's Black
Beall
Sicilian Red (Palermo Red)

In my sig. All mine are too young to give cuttings, but i will have cuttings from my father's unknown tree this year to give out. In the meantime i will pay for postage+ to get more varieties started.

1) Sumaki,
2) Pananas Purple,
3) Laradek EBT
4) Hunt

Seeking via trade top six, more or less randomly:

Saint Rita
Negretta
Scott's Yellow
Native Black
Rosetta
Italian 258

To trade, I have mainly the standard varieties and some of what I call "mountain figs" - relatively cold hardy cultivars that are typically early ripening. Those "mountain figs" would be mostly Mount Etna cultivars among other particular darks, and a particular Brooklyn White (which may be a precocious Marseilles White) and Binello, which may be Gallo, among another light or two.

Col De Dame Grise
Abruzzi
LaRadek's English Brown Turkey
Vasilika Sika
Danny's Delight - Brown one
Black Greek (trade in progress)

Joe's Wish list for Santa's consideration for the 2015 season:
1. Strawberry Verte
2. Olympian (wife from Seattle area)
3. Panachee ( just so I can talk about what a Chimera is to my students)
4. St. Rita
5. Magnolia
6. Goccia d'Oro ( a drop of gold is a drop of gold)

P.S. Santa: #1 is #1 for a reason and I have been a good boy more or less for 7 months this year so far so keep that under consideration.

my wish list - just 4

1. Violette de Bordeaux
2. Panache Tiger Fig
3. Strawberry Verte
4. Peter's Honey Fig

Hmm.. My fig trees are still too small to procure cuttings from, but I'd happily pay for postage and whatever else for cuttings (rooted cuttings would be simply fantastic). So, in no particular order, my wish list is:

- Persian White
- Lebanese Red (Bass)
- Figo Preto
- Capelas
- CdDB
- Desert King

There's a few others listed in my signature, but these are the ones I'm really itching to get my greedy hands on :D And whatever adapts well to containers yet still tastes amazing in such a hot, humid, somewhat short season climate like mine will do too. Hope santa delivers to all you fig enthusiasts!

I wish I had trades but I don't since mine are so young, but in the future I definitely will! Of course there are others, but here's the short list: Hollier Black Medeira Celeste (GRamley) RDB JH Adriatic Mary Lane Seedless Smith

My wish list: I wish I could decide what to eliminate in order to reduce my varieties from 230 to approx. 40. This hobby is cutting into my traveling.

Waynea,

Just drop them off, will let you visit them anytime:)

I plan on having members recommending 40 must have figs and start trading 2,3,4 of mine for one of them., that is for the ones that I do not have on the list. Then after I have my 40, I will give the rest away. Unfortunately, I just up-potted approx. 60 from 1gallon to 3gallon, so they may have to be shipped dormant/bare root, or what ever the receiver wants.

Here is my wish list today in no particular order;

Ischia Black
Figo Preto
Petit Negri
Genovese Nero
Troiano
Cold Hardy suggestions to trial in-ground z6

Have cuttings to trade and/or happy to pay shipping.

I'm very grateful for what I have, but if I was able to get a couple more, I would pick:

  • Galicia Negra
  • Smith
  • Col de Dame Blanc (any CdD for that matter)
