Ficus Auriculata is one the Exotic trees for outdoor ornamental , its bear a lot of fruit and looks exotic . But the fruit taste is not as good  as others common figs in general. The Female Ficus Auriculata could produce edible fruit with out pollination figs wasp . ( As far as I know I dont have a figs wasp in Indonesia ,).

Quail Gardens in Encinitas, CA has a Foxburghii that has spectacular fruit - about the size of an apple. It looks a lot like a Sycamorus, and some others.

I am afraid , its not sycamorus since the fruit is abundant in Mother tree and the fruit & leaf size is much bigger than Sycamorus figs .

Its  mother tree in my friend's garden is very resemble with the Picture of F. Auriculata at the Tropical nursery website.

Very nice fig tree Zaitun i wish they are more cold tolerant.

I grow Ficus from seed, I am considering this. I have seed- grown (and left over seeds) Ficus benghalensis, F. religiosa, F. obtusifolia, F. rubiginosa, F. crocata, F. maxima, F.cotinifolia. They are mostly of the Urostigma subsection. I am considering also F. sycomorus...

Its a tropical wild figs tree  species  ,I dont know if it could grow well in cold climate.

You take it inside in the winter.  Ficus pumila is very slow growing. The adult form is very different than the juvenile.

I have two of these fig trees growing here in Arizona. One I planted in ground and the other left in a big pot. I got these to just try and see how it'll do in our summer heat here with their big leaves. I was pleasantly surprised on how well this tree does here! Full blazing sun all day and very little burn on the big leaves, and it loves plenty of water! Very fast grower too!

This picture below was taken in the beginning of March of this year. The main stem was killed back in a freeze last winter. It was newly planted that winter and I didn't protect it from the frost and freeze. It's growing back from the roots.




This is a picture of it today. About 4ft+ tall? 
 

Trunk has a decent girth to it. This is 8 months of growth.
 
 
I'm growing this mainly for ornamental. I've read the figs aren't that great but I haven't tasted them yet. No figs from this guy yet, maybe next year? I'll be sure to cover this guy up this winter so it'll grow much bigger next year. 

I'm thinking of grafting better quality figs on this guy next spring. I wonder how they'll do on this tree.

That's a beautiful looking tree the leaves look so nice.

That is a beautiful tree. I'd like to grow it just for the foliage.
