Another (Paradiso bronze),pretty and flavorfull fig!

Herman here is a fig I picked last night definately smaller than last season but here it goes.

Nice,so far your Paradiso is lighter inside, and redder outside compared to mine.
I will post fruits when they are totally ripe as the tree is young it ripes them a couple at a time.

By The way:I had a huge ZBreba too and it was very dark inside too,but outside it was white,as My grandoughter took it before it was totally ripe, and when she ate it it said right away:Strawberryyyyy!
Thanks.

At This moment all my white figs are getting brown spots on them if I leave them long enough to be properly ripe.
I arived at the conclusion, that these brown Spots (wich makes the fig unatractive, are a result of climatic conditions here, and there is nothing I can do to fix that short of growing only black figs. This does not Happen all season long only part of the season, having to do with humidity damaging the top skin leyer.
No wonder black figs are preffered by so many gardeners.
Here are some pixes of my White figs
From Left to R:

Stella Long Brown Honey,Paradiso Bronze,Lsu gold.
Also in the second pix you can see the interior,of the four varieties.
As Taste goes, the best sweetest, most flavorful was Paradiso Bronze,Followed very close By Long Brown Honey,Lsu Gold, and Stella.
Stella has the most wonderfull Tste Most of the time and it was very good now too,but it seem to suffer the most, from This humid climate now with a prolonged drougt that lasted 2 month now.
All this fig plants are sensitive to prolonged drought because they are young and do not have extensive roots to feed the fruits under this circumstance of havy lack of water in the soil.
The soil is bone dry dosn't matter how deep, one is going do dig here now.

My paradiso also came from dusan and its tied with Verte for my favorite fig.

Definitely not a Brunswick.  Brunswick has five finger leaves very distinguishable.

Paradiso was bronze in the greenhouse last year and outside this year mixed green purple just like Nelsons.  I think the hotter the weather, the darker it gets.  The first one this year I ate was about a week ago.  This year it was knee buckling good.  Sweet, delicate, fine grained, juicy, depth of flavor, what else can I say.
Its such a great fig, I want 4 more plants.  I want to limit the collection just so I can have more Paradiso.
Akram, like Nelson said, it ripens mid to late august in warm summers.  I have mine in a sun trap which is my south facing wall of my brick bungalow on the asphalt, with little wind.  The figs love it and I'm sure its mostly responsible for me eating figs since June 30th in 6a.  My brothers paradiso plant 4 blocks away, not in such a favorable position as mine has not ripened a fig yet.

Man, I love this fig.

I Can't say for sure if this Paradiso,I have is Identical to Dusan Paradiso, because it has a slight difference in color,in that is a little less colored outside and darker red inside.
But that it can also be because of the climate.
I am in the same situation with Nas:
Namelly, that as soon as I tasted the first couple of figs last year at the end of Oct.(it was young and late),I knew right away, that I gotr something exceptionaly good and I shoud cherish it and take good care,of the plant in my cold climate.
And I do,I love the cultivar and will take good care of it even if it will require protecting it in the winter.
In Fact like Nas,said I will plant one more by digging out another inferior cultivar.

Herman like I said earlier if you want I can send you a couple cuttings this fall and then you can compare side by side.

OK NelsonI am going to send you private Email with Pixes of the tree and specially clear pixes of leaf and fruit and then if you think that is different compared to yours then we will exchange cuttings, providing the custom doesn't keep them.
It can be that the plant I have is the same cultivar but different color.
As for The taste and Flavor,I can't see another light color cultivar to be as good as this one ,except may be Col de Dame wht,but that one is almost impossible to get ripe here because it needs more heat than we get to relyable get ripe fruit every year.
Yet Paradiso,is positivelly enough early to get ripe fruits in my climate and yours.
So That is what makes it very valuable.

Herman not sure whats going on with the emails but my email address is " EDIT" Thanks Herman

Here are pixes of tree and leaves ,Paradiso tree
As you can see the leaves are different than Joe Morle Paradiso, and also different than Brunswick.

Best Regards
